How long is the warranty and what does it cover?
Every Benling watch carries a 1 Year warranty, counted from the day it is delivered. It covers manufacturing defects in the movement and the watch functions. It does not cover scratches, knocks and drops, water damage from misuse, or repairs done by anyone other than Benling. Keep your order confirmation as proof of purchase, and use the Contact page if anything stops working.
Is the Benling Enigma Automatic Watch - Iconic Collection water resistant?
This model is rated 5 ATM. Treat that as protection against everyday splashes, rain and washing your hands: ratings are measured in a lab and are not a licence to dive. Whatever the rating, keep the watch out of hot showers and saunas, never press buttons or pull the crown out under water, and rinse it with fresh water after the sea or a pool.
Does it need a battery or winding?
This watch has a quartz movement, which is very accurate and needs no winding. It runs on a small battery that normally lasts one to two years. When the second hand starts jumping in jerks or the display fades, have the battery changed at a watch shop - ask for the same size cell, and have the case closed back properly so it stays sealed.
Will it fit my wrist, and can the strap be adjusted?
The dial of this watch is 35 mm across. That is a compact, slim size that suits smaller wrists. The leather strap is adjusted with the holes in the strap and the buckle, so you can fit it yourself in a minute.
